Craig arrived in BC as a teenager, happy to be away from mosquitoes and blizzards. As a non-profit manager for a number of years, he learned to marshal available resources to get the work done. As a student of law, art, and communications, he learned that things matter only when they are clear and meaningful including the law and legal processes. He holds degrees in fine art (Emily Carr University), media studies (Concordia University), and a Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. 

Craig is a member of two sections of the Canadian Bar Association - BC Branch: the Constitutional Law and Civil Liberties section and the Charities//Not-for-Profit section. His interests in the law include finding solutions that work and helping people understand how the law functions. 

Craig believes in building community and has spent his volunteer time with organizations that support ocean swimming, cycling, and ukulele-playing.
